How we compare
Tools Battlefield is independent. No prices, no ads, and no brand pays to come first. The numbers come from the manufacturers' official sites, and the verdict comes from the numbers and the work you need to do.

Where the numbers come from
Every number on the site comes from the manufacturer's official website or official manual, with a link to the source and the date it was last checked. We do not take numbers from forums, YouTube or retailers unless they copy the official table word for word, and we say so next to the number.
When a maker does not publish a number
Some makers do not publish every spec, such as weight or clutch settings. In that case we write "not published"; we do not guess and we do not borrow the number from another source. A spec missing on one tool is left out of the score between that tool and any other, so no one is penalised and no one gets a free point.
Torque: which number we compare
Makers publish torque in more than one way. Hard torque is the force when a screw seats in a hard material; peak torque is the highest force for a short moment. Some makers publish both, some only one. We compare the highest figure each maker publishes, label each number as hard or peak, and show the lower hard figure when there is one. That way you always know what you are comparing.
Weight
We compare the bare-tool weight, because weight with a battery depends on which pack you fit. A battery usually adds 0.3 to 0.7 kg.
Scoring in the ring
Each spec carries a weight by how much it matters on the job: max torque 3 points, top speed and weight 2 points, every other spec 1 point. The winner of a spec takes its full weight; a tie splits it in half. Low-gear speed is shown for information only and carries no points, because there is no universally better value. And remember: winning on points does not mean a tool is the right one for your work; read the rounds one by one.
Images and trademarks
Product photos come from the manufacturers' official sites, with each source credited. On some photos we removed the side handle so all tools are shown the same way; nothing on the tool itself was altered. Brand names and marks belong to their owners and are used only to identify the products. Tools Battlefield is not affiliated with any manufacturer or retailer.
